I almost laugh, it’s so ridiculous. It never rains, but it pours. My leg’s broken, my horse’s leg is broken. It nearly does me in completely.

No, I vow. I’ll heal, Dubai Millennium will heal, and we’ll ride again.

I’ll fly in jumbo jets and I’ll fly in helicopters, but light aircraft? Not a chance.

I develop claustrophobia too. I used to laugh at my mum when I was a kid and she’d have to have the window open, or when she wouldn’t go in a lift, but now it’s happening to me.

I try to be less stressed and more laid-back: not as aggressive, not as competitive. I change my attitude. From now on I’m not going to go round chasing endless winners.
